I specialize in brief and longer-term psychotherapy for individuals seeking to improve coping with immediate stressors and concerns and/or wishing to create deeper, lasting changes in their lives and relationships. My personal style is interactive, empathic, and respectful of individual values and choices.

I am bicultural and enjoy working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. I enjoy working with adults of all ages, but specialize in working with younger adults, people in midlife, and those who are new to therapy. I have extensive experience working with young professionals, especially law students, attorneys, and IT people.

Some of the issues I can help with are depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and grief (specialized training and  experience in grief counseling).
I can provide the practical and emotional support needed during challenging life-stage transitions.  Please see the Specializations page for additional information.

Therapy provides a safe, non-judgmental setting in which to discuss thoughts and feelings you might not feel free to share with friends and relatives. I use my skills and experience to help you discover and change unconscious patterns that may be interfering with your goals, relationships, and personal growth.

Offices in San Francisco's Financial District, Berkeley, and Walnut Creek (Saturday appointments available in Walnut Creek). Please contact me if you have questions or to set up an initial appointment.
